With former JAPAN Studio producer Akiyuki Toriyama, gz forms Sirius Studio, a new Tokyo-based game development studio consisting of a number of high-profile employees, including former Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan studio producer Akiyuki Toriyama. It will work in the fields of consoles, PCs, virtual reality, and extended reality games, with the goal of "creating games that light the hearts and minds of players" and become a "world-class development studio" whose works are recognized around the world.

Teruyuki Toriyama, a Japanese game producer who has produced series of games such as Bloodborne and Demon's Souls: Remastered, left Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan at the end of December 2020.
