Sony announced today that it will increase the price of PS Plus all-tier subscriptions in 15 Latin American countries from April 16, 2025. Countries involved include: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay.

Sony explained that the price increase was due to "changes in the global market environment" and said that the price increase would help "continue to provide high-quality games and value-added services for PlayStation Plus members".

The new rates apply to all new users in the above countries, and existing members will begin to apply the new rates in the next billing cycle. The specific price adjustments are as follows:

According to the calculations of affected users, the annual fee increases are $10 for PS Plus Essential, $14 for PS Plus Extra, and $18 for PS Plus Deluxe. To be clear, the Premium Edition is not PS Plus Premium, but an alternative from Sony for regions where you can't stream PS3 games, and it's relatively inexpensive.

It is reported that from April 16, 2025, the price of PlayStation Plus in Hong Kong and Taiwan will also be adjusted:

The announcement comes as Sony announced eight new games for PS Plus Plus/Premium members next week, including Hogwarts Legacy.
